Mission
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me."
Matthew 25: 25-36
The mission of Posada Guadalupe is to assist homeless immigrants. We accept referrals from local hospitals, immigration attorneys, detention centers, and children's shelters. Most of our residents are young men who have aged out of detention centers, having arrived in the United States as unaccompanied minors. We provide them with food and shelter, and assist them to transition into productive lives through hospitality, advocacy, and education.
Goals
Our goal is to provide safety, security, and community from which these young men may learn the skills to become competent confident adults and make thier way in the world either in the United States or in their counties of origin.
